FOUNDER - ANDREW WRIGHT

Oxford Life Skills was founded by Andrew Wright. Andrew is a highly experienced international skills consultant, coach and trainer. His career started in media news, documentary, and entertainment production which led his to live and work within a variety of cultures and countries. Andrew’s pedigree as a communication expert was further built upon during a decade long career as an award winning broadcaster and producer, which often took him to hostile environments.

These experiences in production, talent management, hostile environments including warzones, and the often-challenging environs found in our professional spaces compelled him to turn his experiences towards helping others through their own challenges. He left broadcasting to return to private life and focus on sharing his broad and unique skill set with people of all ages, from prep school children to global CEOs.

He is committed to continuing his understanding of how communication works across different cultures, within complex organisations, educational environments, and with individuals who simply need caring, empathetic and insightful professional support. His aim in all professional endeavours is to listen to and understand people’s needs and to help them to find a route to fulfil them.

Andrew is an advocate for psychological safety and mental health awareness. He is also an experienced outdoor leader and works regularly with people of all ages to help them appreciate their own abilities in outdoor environments. Andrew lives in a quiet corner of Oxfordshire, England, with his family.
